Srila Prabhupada: The Visionary Who Brought the East to the West

In 1965, at an age when most people are long-retired, a 69-year-old monk named A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada stepped off a cargo ship in New York City. He arrived with no followers, just seven dollars in change, and a trunk full of sacred texts. What he did possess was an unwavering mission: to share the timeless wisdom of Krishna consciousness with the world.

Representing a spiritual lineage that stretches back to Lord Krishna Himself, Srila Prabhupada spent the next eleven years in a whirlwind of devotion. He circled the globe fourteen times, established over 100 temples, and authored more than forty volumes of spiritual commentary, including the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam.
