Bhagavatam Classes

One of the most important and spiritually enriching parts of the Sunday Feast Program at ISKCON Jorhat is the Bhagavatam Class. Every Sunday, around 12:00 PM, devotees, guests, students, and families gather together to hear and discuss the timeless wisdom of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam — one of the most respected spiritual scriptures in the Vedic tradition.

The Bhagavatam Class is a beautiful opportunity for people to come together in a spiritual atmosphere and learn the nectar of Krishna consciousness through the teachings, stories, and lessons of the Bhāgavatam. The speaker delivers lectures on various Shlokas, explaining their meaning in a practical, relatable, and easy-to-understand way so that people from all backgrounds can connect with the teachings.

Rather than being only theoretical, the classes help people understand how these ancient teachings are still deeply relevant in modern times.

To make the sessions more interactive and meaningful, attendees are also encouraged to ask questions at the end of the lecture. The speaker patiently answers doubts and explains concepts in a simple manner, helping everyone gain deeper clarity and understanding. This open discussion creates a welcoming environment where people feel inspired to learn more and strengthen their spiritual journey.

For many devotees and visitors, the Bhagavatam Class becomes a source of encouragement, inspiration, and spiritual nourishment. Hearing the teachings regularly helps uplift one’s devotion, purify the mind, and develop a stronger connection with Krishna. It also inspires people to personally read and study the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, allowing them to discover its wisdom more deeply in their everyday lives.

More than just a lecture, the Bhagavatam Class is a heartfelt spiritual gathering that brings people closer to devotional service, positive association, and the timeless teachings of bhakti-yoga.
